Textures of One Art Prize returns in 2024 with a 10th anniversary celebration! To honour ten years and all of the volunteers, community groups and local artists that have participated over the past decade, the motif of “tin” has been selected to be included in creative new ways in this years entries.

The Opening Night and Awards Presentation was held at Platform Arts Hub Blayney on Saturday 24 August from 6pm-8pm.

  • Artists are encouraged to embrace the motif with creativity and freedom. Tin can be used in the imagery, the material, or both! Some ideas include:

    • tin sheds

    • tin cans

    • collectible tins

    • cut tin

    • tin sculptures

    • paintings on tin

    • images of tin

    • tin objects

  • Entries open: 1 June 2024

    Entries close: Midnight 16 August 2024

    Artwork Delivery: 21 to 22 August 2024

    Exhibition: 24 August to 8 September 2024

    Opening and Prize Announcement: 24 August 2024

    Artwork Collection: 10 to 11 September 2024 from Platform Arts Hub Blayney

  • $25 Entry Fee

    $20 Concession and Sidetrack Arts Members

    • All entries with payment must be received by Midnight 16 August 2024.

    • Limit of 3 artworks per artist.

    • Works that do not meet the size or theme criteria will not be judged and may not be displayed.

    • Entries must be original work of the entrant.

    • Wall works must be suitably framed or presented for exhibition, with d-rings for exhibition, and must not be wet.

    • Wall works must not exceed 150cm in any direction. Sculptural works must not exceed 80cm in any direction and 30kg in weight.

    • All exhibits require a brief summary on the connection to the 2024 motif of tin. This is included on the entry form.

    • Works that do not meet the size or theme criteria will not be judged and may not be displayed.

    • All entries will be accepted and returned at the risk of the exhibitor. Insurance is the owner’s responsibility.

    • Set up and display of heavy sculptural items of decorative pieces will be the responsibility of the individual artist in coordination with the curator of the exhibition.

    • The committee reserves the right to have exhibits reproduced in the media, on our website and social media.

    • Sidetrack Arts receives a 20% commission from all sales.

    • Sidetrack Arts, Platform Arts hub and Odd Sock Gallery will not be left with the responsibility of storage or delivery of any works left after 10 September 2024.

    • The judge’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

    • I understand that my exhibited work/s are on display for 2 weeks and must be collected 10-11 September 2024.
